How to Style a Decorative Tray: Ideas for Every Room

A tray is the easiest styling trick there is. The same keys, rings or bottles that look like clutter scattered across a surface suddenly look intentional once they're gathered together on one.

A few principles work everywhere. Vary the heights: something tall, something medium, something flat. Stick to odd numbers, usually three objects. Leave a little empty space so the tray itself can be seen. And mix textures: marble with wood, glass or ceramic.
